One of the most intriguing books of this season is the International Best-Dressed List by Amy Fine Collins. This super prestigious List started in the 40s by Eleanor Lambert, founder of the New York Fashion Week and the Met Gala. Months before Lambert died in 2003 at 100 years old, she bequeathed the List to four editors at Vanity Fair- Amy Fine Collis is one of them. She has recently published a book, which tells the fascinating story of the original, and still most credible list of the world’s best-dressed people. I have hosted Amy in Harvest Dialogues, discussing her role in the List, about Eleanor Lambert’s contribution to American taste and fashion; and about the IBDP Hall of Fame.
