The Theme Building in Los Angeles International Airport, designed by the prolific architecture firm of Pereira & Luckman, completed in 1961, and dedicated by Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson may be turned into a hotel. According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, with the upcoming expansion and modernization of LAX Airport, to complete in 2023, its officials are looking for ways to bring a hotel into the core area that includes the Theme Building.
