Congratulating Lisa Cohen and Suzy Slesin for the launching of their new design magazine Galerie. For this occasion, in collaborating with No Longer Empty, a nonprofit organization that sets up art installations in empty spaces, the two have opened an Upper East Side mansion with an installation entitled ‘Be My Guest,’ where artists and designers have transformed empty interiors into a ‘home. Color, interior décor, and art installations are all unitized in the process of creating a new identity to this beaux arts townhouse, which is open privately. The most spectacular space is certainly the dining room, with its installation ‘Dream Home,’ where artists Adam Eckstrom and Lauren Was, have created a wall installation by arranging discarded lottery tickets into an enormous paneled wall unit, capturing the notion of the dream, which the potential wealth can be brought by one lottery card. The spectacular dining room is accessorized with objects by Hermès, Puiforcat, and Saint-Louis.
