Cassina is 90

This is to congratulate Cassina and its Brand Director Gianluca Armento for celebrating its 90th anniversary. I cannot even think of Italian modern design culture, of its history and tradition, of its DNA and ‘look’ without considering Cassina’s immense contribution. Since founded in 1927, it has become synonymous with refined, sophisticated, glamour, high-brow design, and the craftsmanship associated with Italian makers. Since Cassina has always sought to create furniture for contemporary living, examining its icons, created throughout its history, one can identify the key directions in contemporary design of the two centuries. To celebrate this event, Cassina has published its first monograph, entitled ‘This Will Be the Place,’ which comes to explore contemporary social behavior and its possible impact on the future of interiors. Launching this extraordinary publication, a book signing event is planned to take place next week in Miami. A rare opportunity to meet Art Director Patricia Urquiola, editor Felix Burrichter, and German designer Konstantin Grcic, as the three will welcome guests and sign copies. The event is open to the public and will be taking place on Wednesday December 6th from 6-9 pm at Luminaire Lab, 4100 NE 2nd Avenue (Suite 104).
