It is hard to believe that seven years later, we are stronger than ever in the upcoming fall edition of the program Collecting Design: History, Collections, Highlights. I have started this unique educational program, the only one of its kind with Cultured Magazine and the New York School of Interior Design, as a collector, historian, and tastemaker. Those who have taken the program, over and over again, have been able to connect with the world’s leading experts who share their knowledge and passion on the fascinating world of collectible modern and contemporary design. In this season, I will host an amazing group of experts: Michael Jefferson on the intersection of social media and collecting design; Valerio Capo and Sam Pratt on the program and production of contemporary design at their London-based remarkable Gallery FUMI; Marilyn Friedman on American interwar design, which is her expertise in celebrating her publication ‘Making America Modern: Interior Design in the 30s; Joe Nahem of international firm Fox Nahem on the vision of decorating with collectible design; Nicholas Kilner on Ico and Luisa Parisi; Patrick Parrish on navigating the world of design; Dr. Deborah Goldberg on one magnificent table by Isamu Noguchi; Alberto Aquilino on the legacy of Pierre Jeanneret’s furniture in Chandigarh. Spaces are extremely limited and registration is open now.
