Sebastián Errazuriz: Monologues

I am pleased to tell you that tickets to my upcoming program: ‘Sebastián Errazuriz: Monologues in the Artist’s Studio,’ at the New York School of Design next week (November 1st at 6:oo pm) are available now. The event includes a screening of the new documentary by Palu Abadia (the film is a recipient of the category of Best documentary on Architecture and Design Master of Art Film Festival & Award of Merit in Docs without Borders Film Festival) following by a dialogue with Chilean-born Errazuriz. With his own conceptual, comprehensive, and genuine body of work, Errazuriz has come to exemplify the new  type of designer of our age, capturing the era with provocative, daring, yet beautiful and sophisticated objects. Design and art, to him come to express the richness of his inner world, and the complexity of the world around him. Errazuriz’s prominent place in the world of collectible design, soon to be exhibited by London-based David Gill Gallery, is due to the most exquisite sense of beauty and aesthetic sensibility that he possesses. Under his hands, even the most difficult tough realities and political instabilities are presented in a form of sensual beauty. He constantly crosses boundaries between art, photography, design, architecture, and fashion in the most natural, instinctive, spontaneous way, while at the same time, demonstrates a deep understanding of the sensitive dialogue between art and the marketplace. I hope to see you next week.
