Dream Houses

We all have our dream house. That beautiful, dazzling, refined home, of which image is changing as we get more educated, more experienced, more intellectual, better traveled, as our taste emerge. For Delphine and Reed Krakoff, the dream house is such a sound reality, that they have jointly created six of them, six dream houses throughout their 15-year marriage. Now, that their new book ‘Wonder no more: Here comes Houses That We Dreamed Of,’ which comes to chronicle these remarkable interiors, was published by Rizzoli, their elevated, educated, amazing taste is openly showcased. Photographed by Ivan Terestchenko, each one of these interiors is crafted in the most contemporary way by mixing the vintage and the contemporary, extraordinary art with the best of design, the minimalist with the exuberant, the plain with the decorated, all in the most unexpected, fresh way, the winning formula for high-brow sophisticated interiors today. No wonder that the two have managed to create these extraordinary dream homes, as after all Delphine is a talented interior designer and antiques dealer, while Reed, a fashion figure, has recently done for Tiffany & Co., what he has done in the past for Coach, breathing fresh life into the traditional, somewhat tired brand. This book, while a great pleasure to look at, teaches one great lesson. When it comes to create a home, one is ought to take risks, to create from within, to be authentic and personal as possible. This is the secret for remarkable interiors and for houses that we all dreamt of.
