Design educator and historian Daniella Ohad presents a unique online course exploring the foundation of modern design history, while establishing a basic contour of the subject. Part III is a 5-session course, providing an overview of the avant-garde movements, directions, and visions developed during the second half of the 20th century, a fascinating period in design and architectural history. Each talk in the series will be devoted to a chapter in this era and to the brilliant talents who contributed to turning it into one of the most important chapters in history. About the Instructor
Daniella Ohad received her Ph.D. from Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design and Culture. She lectures and publishes widely on design history, theory, and the decorative arts. She has taught at Parsons the New School for Design, Pratt Institute, and Bard College. She is a speaker on topics in design, collecting, and taste worldwide.
